Dholpur: In a landmark cultural celebration that has set a new benchmark for the region, Pt. Uma Dutt Public School, Dholpur in collaboration with EuroKids International hosted its Annual Function 2025—NAVRAS: Chapter II: “A Bollywood Saga.” The event recreated the glorious journey of Bollywood from the 1930s to 2025, capturing its evolution through music, dance, drama, and the timeless emotions of NAVRAS. With 4,500–5,000 spectators and over 1000 students participating, the evening became one of the largest and grandest school events ever witnessed in Dholpur.
The programme opened with welcome addresses from School Chairperson Mrs. Sonali Dutt Sharma, Director Mr. Upendra Dutt Sharma, Principal Dr. Pankaj Vashishtha, and School Captain Master Udayan Dutt Sharma, each emphasizing the importance of holistic education and artistic expression. “Every child who steps on stage discovers a new version of themselves. NAVRAS is not just a show—it is our promise to nurture confidence, creativity, and courage,” Chairperson Mrs. Sonali Dutt Sharma said in her address.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel (Union Minister of State, Government of India), Raj Babbar (Former MP & Actor), Rajendra Singh Rathore (Former Leader of Opposition, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly), Jaswant Singh (MLA, Bari), Girraj Singh Malinga (Former MLA, Bari), Abdul Sagir (Former MLA, Dholpur), A. N. Somnath, IAS (CEO, Jila Parishad, Dholpur), Vikas Sangwan, IPS (SP, Dholpur), actress and DJ Shilpi Sharma, Somendra Tiwari (Former RCA Secretary), and cricket coach Lokendra Singh Chahar. Their presence added prestige and recognition to what was already an extraordinary evening.
The theme “A Bollywood Saga” guided spectators through nine decades of Indian cinema, beginning with the charm of the black-and-white era and culminating in the vibrant, high-energy world of contemporary Bollywood. Students of all ages—right from EuroKids toddlers to the senior-most classes—took part. The sheer scale of participation was unprecedented. “This year, every single student of the school performed or contributed in some capacity. That is the real victory of this event,” Director Mr. Upendra Dutt Sharma remarked proudly.
Behind the scenes, the event demanded enviable commitment. Over 200 staff members, choreographers, artists, technical teams, and professional agencies worked tirelessly for weeks to create a seamless production. Principal Dr. Pankaj Vashishtha noted, “NAVRAS 2025 stands as proof of what can be achieved when passion meets teamwork. Our students have shown that excellence is not an act, but a habit nurtured every single day.”
Along with the performances, the school conducted the farewell ceremony for the outgoing batch of 2025–26, marking an emotional milestone for students stepping into the next phase of their academic lives. Additionally, the school felicitated more than 30 distinguished alumni who have excelled in diverse fields and contributed meaningfully to society. Their recognition served as an inspiration to present students and highlighted the institution’s legacy of nurturing achievers.
School Captain Master Udayan Dutt Sharma, in his address, reflected on the significance of the event. “We wanted to present a show that represents not just Bollywood, but the spirit of our school—unity, hard work, and boundless enthusiasm. Tonight, we proved that when we come together, we can create history.”
The event has already been hailed as Dholpur’s most spectacular cultural celebration to date, drawing admiration for its magnitude, creativity, and professional execution. The immersive experience, visually grand sets, detailed period recreation, and powerful emotional storytelling left the audience applauding long after the final act ended.
NAVRAS: Chapter II reaffirmed that Pt. Uma Dutt Public School and EuroKids International continue to redefine the standards of school events in the region. By blending education with creativity, tradition with innovation, and discipline with joy, the institution once again showcased why it stands as a torchbearer of holistic development in Dholpur.
